A long, long time ago

Sam was introduced to guitar at 10, inspired by his dad always playing and singing songs at home. Midway through Year 10 he found his High School Gifted and Talented Music Program was still not enough music so he took an educational detour to TAFE completing a Diploma of Music Performance and progressing onto WAAPA as a Bachelor of Music student.  Since then he expanded beyond guitar, becoming competent in a number of instruments and now spends his days surrounded in music as a teacher and performer locally and internationally. Whilst continuing to invest his own musical development Sam created Palmer Music at the start of 2022 drawing on experiences as a teacher and administrator to combine the best parts from multiple music schools he had worked at.  With all this knowledge our lesson style is slick and relaxed, helping students explore their own musical interests with great results.  Palmer Music specialises in contemporary styles bringing a 'music is fun' philosophy into every lesson.​
